Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Good Lyfe Lakadong Turmeric Superoot Powder
  • 1 tsp Good Lyfe Tulsi Superleaf Powder
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1-inch cinnamon stick
  • A dash of black pepper
  • 2 cups of water
  • Honey to taste (optional)

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and place it over medium heat.
  • Stir often and let the mix come to a boil.
  • Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Switch off the heat. Cover the saucepan with a lid and allow the brew to sit for a couple of minutes.
  • Strain and drink it warm.
  • If you prefer a sweet touch, add a dash of honey.

Can you add milk?

Yes, you can. There is diverse research on this. Some of it says adding milk may reduce some of the antioxidant properties. Most people prefer it without milk.

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a big bowl.
  • Toss well to ensure the spices coat the cashews totally.
  • Spread the cashews on a baking tray.
  • Bake at 300*F for about 20 minutes or until crunchy.

 

Pro Tip - If there’s no time to soak the cashews for 1 or 2 hours, soaking them for about 10 minutes in hot water will also work.

Store the cashews in an airtight glass jar for them to last up to a few months.
